A Cup Born
From Passion

Pearla Tea started as a dream — to bring the vibrant, joyful world of Taiwanese bubble tea to South Yorkshire. Our founder grew up sipping boba on warm evenings and wanted to recreate that same feeling of comfort and delight right here in Rotherham.

We opened our doors on Doncaster Road with a simple promise: use the best ingredients, make every drink to order, and treat every customer like family. That promise hasn't changed.

The Dream Takes Shape

Inspired by the vibrant bubble tea culture of Taiwan and Southeast Asia, our founder begins crafting recipes, searching for the perfect milk tea base and hand-selecting premium teas.

Opening Day

Pearla Tea Opens its Doors

We open at 331 Doncaster Road, Dalton, Rotherham. The response from the local community is overwhelming — queues out the door and a wave of five-star reviews.

Growing

Menu Expands

We add Japanese Castella cakes, Daifuku mochi, Doriyaki and Mochi Ice Cream to the menu — bringing a full Japanese-inspired café experience to Rotherham.
